(3-7 year olds)

Children take part in creative stories and exciting adventures, such as pirate treasure hunts or trips to the circus. Their imaginations are stimulated whilst practicing safe yoga postures that represent animals or objects which feature in the adventures. In effect, the children perform yoga without knowing it!

(8-12 year olds)

Children are led through creative and educational themes such as the Olympics or parts of the body. Classes involve Pranayama or breathing exercises, a warm up or Surya Namaskar and a variety of Warrior, Triangle, Balance, Twist, Sitting, Backbend and Inversion postures.

(13-17 year olds)

Teenagers are taught yoga based on the Sun Power Yoga School of Yoga which is an eclectic mix of Dynamic Hatha, Sivananda and Astanga Vinyasa yoga. Classes involve Pranayama or breathing exercises, a warm up or Surya Namaskar and a variety of Warrior, Triangle, Balance, Twist, Sitting, Backbend and Inversion postures. These flow together as a dynamic sequence based on themes such as energy centres or balance.

Teacher training

Blossom Yoga runs regular intensive three day teacher training courses for talented individuals wishing to teach Blossom Yoga to children. Our teachers are fully trained to teach fun packed, professional and safe yoga classes from start to finish that replicate the style and creativity of the Lil' Buds and Big Buds models and our teachers are trained to competently tutor and assess the Blossom Yoga grades.

“The Blossom Yoga Lil' Buds teacher training course was fantastic. It was well structured and extremely interesting and enjoyable. There was a great team spirit because the group was fairly small and the learning was broken up into small group activity work or discussion and activities with the whole group. We were assessed throughout the three days and given lots of encouragement and support. I am really looking forward to starting my teaching and feel confident that I have been given the tools and knowledge to to be able to teach successfully and well. ”
